We got into Battersea Power Station today as they had opened it to the public after 25 years of being closed and inaccessible. Unbelievable experience even if we couldn't get into all corners.
It definitely is, Dave! Did you know that Battersea has been open from last Monday till today, from noon to 6 pm each day, to the public? We went there today and spent hours shooting! What a thrill!!! People from everywhere streaming there to see old lovely Battersea!
an amazing monument to Victorian engineering ... I remember a doco on it several years back ... beautiful machinery, awesome.
Incidentally, I was around Oxford Street/ Regents Park again last week but was in a dash ... one time when things are less frantic (for both of us by the sound of it) we must 'do lunch' !
Herzbeben kostenlos :)
Bigoode, it was closed for 25 years and now they had opened it to the public for just one week! We spent half of today in there, being totally blown away and shooting like crazy!
This is such an incredibly awesome structure! With the exception of an album cover, I know very little about the place. Thanks for sharing your photos & stirring my interest.
Magic place.....i've been to London last week for the first time, but I had no time to go there....While I was up into the London Eye I took a glance at at Westminster and DING-A-LING! That building over there, far away....reminds me something! Next time it will one of the must-see places, for sure
Unfortunately you can only see it from a certain distance, since it is rotten and protected and there is no access. I used the rare moment of the building being opened to the public for one week after so many years of having been closed down, to shoot this from a close up place and to get loads of images from within and all sides around it. It is truly a magical place and structure and I wish you best luck for the next time you visit London :)
