Forum Marinum


Forum Marinum is both a Maritime
Activities Centre and the National Special Museum of merchant shipping and Finnish naval history. It is located in the centre of Turku (Åbo), by the Aurajoki River, near Turku Harbour and Turku Castle. The Centre is run by the Forum Marinum Foundation, founded in 1998. The Centre also houses the Åbo Akademi University Department of Maritime History, the Museum Ship Sigyn Foundation and Café Restaurant Daphne.
