Kick them to the Ipernity Hall of Fame

Please take the time to choose the nominees and to vote for them... and do remember to participate to the Best of the Week - August edition contest

 

After searching by and large to find shots to insert in the Ipernity Hall of Fame, I found lots of hidden and unknown masterpieces.

So a new collaborative game: add to this post comments the shots you think must be in the Ipernity Hall of Fame, so everyone can visit them. Everyone can reply to each post adding support and we'll choose the shots to add 'honoris causa' to the Hall of Fame (I think 10 votes of support are a good target: let me know if it's ok).

I'm not sure if I get this right. I do not like to participate in a competition here. Don't get me wrong, I am glad you like my photo and it is nice if you want to feature it as such but like I said, if this is a competition, I rather prefer to be left out...

You got it right. It isn't a competition, but an easy way to showcase the hidden treasures we find on Ipernity. The votes I spoke of are only thumbs up to show our appreciation: nothing competitive! (Art is subjective: how can we judge it?)

Anyway, if you or anyone else feel uncomfortable, drop me a line and I will delete the shot.

Absolutely, but it's a subjective judgement and I don't think a collection of subjective judgments can make an objective judgement.
Anyway I think it's an enrichment to show what we think is beautiful and to have an occasion to learn from each other. My 2 cents.

Thinking about it this even could be a feature of Ipernity as well. Every user could have a mechanism where he selects his personal weekly pick among the photos on Ipernity uploaded over the last week.... Such weekly pick could then be made available on that user's page under a new tab 'weekly picks'. All weekly picks could be accumulated and made available at a 'global weekly picks' page somewhere. This would not be meant as a competition but as a way to make photos of others more public....
