Two weeks later, and what a difference since I got my camera.  It's become quite addictive actually and all that has been learned in these days has been significant. 

Also expensive. I picked up various odds and ends, like filters (polarizing and near infra-red. But tons of fun. Still so much to learn, but I pick up something new everytime I go out. Meanwhile pointers and suggestions are always welcome.

To date I've been posting pictures limited by the capabilities of a point and shoot camera. Not complaining, but to really explore this hobby,I needed more. This weekend I got it, camera, lenses, etc so it can move forward to something more.  So I really am the new kid on the block here skill wise, but it's going to be fun learning! I spent yesterday learning how to process raw images which is a  start.  I've learned a lot just by studying the work done by others here. Let the learning curve begin:-)
