Ipernity - 9999 Visits

Wir sind wieder da. Ich fühle mich zwar total erschlagen, aber es war echt schön.
Ich habe einige Fotos gemacht (die meisten allerdings im Tierpark Friedrichsfelde) und werde sie in den nächsten Tagen hochladen ;-)

Wir waren zwar hauptsächlich im Tierpark Friedrichsfelde (den kompletten ersten Tag) ...

Polar bear / Eisbär - 3

... aber haben auch die Touris raushängen lassen ;-)

Den zweiten Tag haben wir rund um Potsdamer Platz, Ku'damm und Zoo verbracht.
In den Zoo sind wir nicht mehr, die Schlange am Eingang war die Hölle!

Übrigens - falls ihr mal vergleichsweise günstig und dafür super lecker in Berlin frühstücken wollt:
Café Feuerbach in Steglitz-Zehlendorf nur etwa 200m von der S-Bahn-Station Feuerbachstraße entfernt!

Und dort ganz in der Nähe gibt es auch einen Mexikaner / Argentinisches Steakhouse.
Die haben momentan wegen Neueröffnung rabattierte Preise und bieten ein super leckeres und für Berlin sehr günstiges Steakrepertoire an!

Es ist fast soweit ... am 5. und 6. August bin ich mit meiner Liebsten in Berlin.
Wir werden uns auf jeden Fall den Tiergarten/Aquarium und den Tierpark Friedrichsfelde ansehen.
Außerdem möchte ich gern zum Holocaust-Mahnmal.
Ansonsten sind typische "Touri-Ziele" eher nicht geplant, dafür war ich schon zu oft in Berlin *lach*

Aber ich würde mich sehr freuen, wenn jemand Tipps für kurze Ausflüge innerhalb der Stadt hat oder gute (und günstige *g*) Restaurants für zwischendurch und den Abend empfehlen kann.
Auch gern einfach die beste Currywurst-Bude oder den besten Dönerladen - man muss ja auch mal "lokale" Spezialitäten probieren ;-)

So oder so werde ich hoffentlich ein paar schöne Bilder mitbringen!

I found an interesting solution - encrypted online backup from a company named Mozy.

It's just so simple. Register for your free account, download their software and backup your important data (up to 2GB storage in free account) encrypted to their storage servers.
You can even choose to use your own encryption key (if you want to).

In my opinion it's a great offer - and if you need more space than 2GB you are able to buy an unlimited account for less than 5$ per month.
 

I started using it last week and like the ease of use of the graphical user interface and the large amount of features and custom configuration items.
 

This weekend (Saturday 19.07.2008) is Christopher Street Day Parade in Frankfurt/Main going from Römerberg to Goetheplatz.

I'll get my cam and try to capture some nice moments.

CSD 2008 - Party People

Everyone who likes to do HDR occasionally knows Photomatix Pro.
Many professional image editing applications like Adobe Photoshop or Corel Paint Shop Photo Pro (with which I usually did it) bring their own HDR-creation tools.

But what about the "normal" user who does not want to spend a lot of money for a software he or she does not use every day?

I found an interesting freeware which I already used and like: Picturenaut

Just a little history ... some months ago I ordered a photobook with a collection of my photos on the internet.
Some days later they asked me if they could use my photobook for advertising and offered me vouchers to get the next 5 photobooks for free if I agree.

Cool stuff! And a thing I could need.

Now let's jump into this week ... I ordered a full version of Corel Paintshop Photo Pro some days ago and by chance at the moment there is a special offer ... every buyer gets what for free?

Well ... at this point in time not really a thing I need ...

But that's not the end ... I usually read a photographic magazine and take part in their monthly contest by filling out a survey.
Today an email arrived in my inbox telling me that for last month I am one of the winners of the contest ... AND ... *drumroll* ... I won a voucher for a free 50€-photobook!

Panasonic, National Geographic Germany and T-Online Germany start the 5th Panasonic LUMIX Digital Photo Contest for amateurs on 2. June 2008.

There will be 3 Categories:
"Natur + Tierwelt" (Nature + Animal World)
"Menschen + Emotionen" (People + Emotions)
"Architektur + Technik" (Architecture +Technology)

As far as I know every contestant may post two photos in each category.
The photos may not be digitally edited or cropped for changing the pictures meaning.
Whatever that means ;-)

I think I'll try my luck once more ... and wish everyone good luck and a lot of fun!

The prizes include a 2-week trip to Australia, Panasonix LUMIX digital cameras (including the new DMC-L10) and many more.

I have just found another nice feature being used here on ipernity.

Since ipernity allows HTML-Content in descriptions you are able to add music to a picture.
This can be done using e.g. www.deezer.com and it's feature to blog a song.

Just visit the site, choose one song out of their unbelievable mass of music, click in the upper right corner the button "Blog" and then copy the HTML-Code into your description.

At this time I would like to advise you to disable the checkbox "Autoplay" in "Customize player" to make sure your visitors can decide if they want to hear that song or not.

Once I have seen something really nice here.
There was a photo and added as notices were the links to other similar or connected photos (PiP - Picture in Picture).
So if you "mouse-over" the photo you can automatically see the attached photos, too.
 

I would love to do something like that to one of my photos to link some enlargments to details.

Can anyone help me how to do that?
Just writing the HTML-Code into the notice didn't work ...

All I needed to do is adding a word or character out of the HTML-code ...
