Ipernity Easy Photo Post [NEW VERSION: 0.6, 23 May 2008]

Friday May 23, 2008 at 11:19PM

Is a GreaseMonkey Script I translated from Flickr to Ipernity.

Today I release version 0.6; this is a fast patch, waiting for the API version to come; let me know if you find bugs.

ADDED: support for the 'blog' size (seems to be available only for your own shots) and for the new file names

REMOVED: (temporarily) blind effect

CHANGELOG:

version 0.5, with groups support.

What is GreaseMonkey ? A Mozilla Firefox extension.

What are GM scripts? Are scripts permitting to modify a webpage appearence and functionality.

What is Easy Photo Post? Is a GM script saving infos on the last 15 Ipernity photo pages you visited. It adds a 'Post a photo' link after the comment box in shot, blog posts and group discussion pages. If you click the link, you are given the possibility of choose one of four (five, starting from version 0.6) shot sizes. Clicking on one of the 15 shots thumbnails under it, the code to show that shot in the chosen size is pasted in the comment box.

The new blog size seems to be available only for your own shots; big and original sizes have a different naming scheme and cannot be built from the name of the visited shots...

For sizes larger than medium the .docurl changes (I think that's for copyright reasons, you can no longer deduce the large sizes from the name of the smaller sizes). If that's so, than there should be no possibilty for the script to get the larger sizes, otherwise that would be a "security breach". On the other hand, they made it still work on the "other sizes" page. So perhaps there is a workaround.
There is a bug with the blog size though, zhis isn't displayed for your own pictures. So perhaps that's the reason why this script doesn't work with blog size for your own pics.

If I remember well the central one was from the first Mark'ART account; these are shots of around 5 of October 2007
